Key Takeaways
This project was done as part of an Entrepreneurship class and was helpful in understanding the toy market, along with learning about the different companies that have reached remarkable heights in this industry.
Gamification can indeed help in teaching various things, including important life skills, by making the process engaging and enjoyable. This experience gave us a deeper appreciation for how play can be a powerful medium for learning and growth.
The Solution
A play kit for kids aged 9 and above, where they build a memento using safe tools that mimic carpentry tools and processes. The memento is something they can actually use, giving them a sense of accomplishment and encouraging them to dive deeper into the craft.

Calling a carpenter for something as small as drilling a hole for a screw is quite normal for us. While carpentry is a beautiful and skillful art, it often goes undervalued and is reduced to quick fixes rather than recognized for its craftsmanship.
Mini Masters offers kits that introduce kids to carpentry in a fun, engaging way while inculcating respect for the profession and unlocking a new life skill.

The Problem
Lack of Hands on Learning:
Schools give a lot of preference to theoretical learning over practical learning. Hence, Multiple essential life skills end up getting neglected.
Undervalued Professions in India:
In India essential skills like carpentry, farming and electrical work are often undervalued, despite them being very important to our society.
Increasing Screen Time:
Digital games and social media limit hands-on skill-building, physical activity, and creative thinking in young minds.
